The event took place at the Terrasses du Parc in Lyon on May 27. Seven student projects from various establishments in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region competed for the award.
The objectives of the Grand Prix
The aim of the Grand Prix de l'International is to promote international business and reward international development projects carried out by students on behalf of a French or international company.
The aim of the Grand Prix de l'International is to:
- Encourage students in international professions to work for a French company or subsidiary abroad, or for a foreign company.
- To create international openings in the future career paths of the students concerned, and to give them genuine recognition by the Conseillers du Commerce Extérieur de la France, experts in international exchanges.
- Recognize and help validate the multi-faceted academic, professional and international approach of the region's educational establishments.
- To showcase the various projects and work carried out by students in the international arena.

An International Grand Prix for JM Concept
At JM Concept, our R&D engineer apprentice (a student at @INSA LYON, who was taking part in this competition for the 1st time) was competing for the prize for an assignment carried out in China.
This mission consisted in supporting our main distributor in its development, notably through the design and installation of test benches for two of our product ranges.
He thus :
- carried out a feasibility study, and designed a compact, easy-to-operate test bench
- carried out an improvement study, and designed a commercial presentation kit, adding 3 potentiometers, 1 load cell and a PT100 probe to the initial set-up. Our relationship with our Chinese distributor was further strengthened thanks to this mission.
International Grand Prix evening event
Based on the theme of sport, the evening was rich in exchanges and encounters.
It began with speeches by the presidents of the CCEs, who presented the Grand Prix de l'International and its objectives. The winners of this 13th edition then took to the stage to describe their projects using explanatory videos. The evening continued with a discussion between participants and VIP guests: French skier and Olympic champion @Clément Noël (sponsor of this 13th edition of the Grand Prix de l'International), @Alan Daniel (export director of the @Rossignol group) and @Mathilde Aboud (former international business volunteer (VIE)).
At the end of the session, a large buffet of mignardises was opened, and all those present (students, teachers and tutors) were able to discuss the various projects in progress.
Thanks for the Grand Prix de l'International
A big thank you to the organizers and all the participants for this memorable evening, and a big bravo to our collaborator!
